first_imgNellore: District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu visited Bara Shaheed Dargah on Saturday in connection with the start of annual Roti Festival from September 10. He directed the officials to make arrangements as the festival attracts lakhs of devotees from Andhra Pradesh and other neighbouring States. The Collector instructed the officials of NUDA and Nellore Municipal Corporation keeping in view of a huge throng of devotees for offering prayers and exchanging rotis during the festival. He said officials have to make a plan for release of water to the tank from Somasila Reservoir for bathing before exchanging of rotis. Babu informed the officials to make foolproof arrangements for this State festival. NUDA Vice-Chairman T Bapi Reddy, Municipal Commissioner PVVS Murthy, Municipal SE SK Imamuddin, EE S Johnny, Tahsildar Nirmalananda Babu and other officials were present.last_img
