Italian utility Enel said Tuesday it planned to launch a joint tender offer with Acciona for Endesa “as soon as legally possible.” Spanish stock market regulator CNMV said just more than 6 per cent of Spanish Endesa’s shares had been tendered for the public offer by German utility E.ON, which resulted in a failed bid. Acciona’s energy division Acciona Energia, which bills itself in the world’s leading renewable energy company, has 4357 MW of capacity installed at 163 wind farms, with another 700 MW under construction and more than 8000 MW in development.
